My Brand – complete

I chose to complete My Brand badge to push me outside of my comfort zone for the Be Brave quarterly challenge, purely because this is one of the ones I was worried about starting. It means I have to really think about who I am and who I want to be and even thinking about me is a super scary thought! I know I’m not the only one to think that either!

#03 – Social Media presence

I don’t really have a social media presence. The main thing I need to have social media for it to manage the pages for the charity I work for and obviously Rebel Badge Club, I do think I can share more in the Rebel groups I am in to show these brand values.

#04 – Family and Friends

My family and friends all say similar things, and even people I don’t know too well and my colleagues. I am always busy and always doing something, but I will drop everything to help someone if I can. I never say no to anything and I never take time for myself. They say that I should definitely take a break and this is something that I am trying to aim to do over the next 6 months and potentially use this to do Self care badge!

#05 – Drivers and motivators

I have two key motivators in my life – my family, especially my children. I want to be able to give them everything and more, but not just in terms of things but experiences and opportunities too, something I don’t feel I can at the minute but will definitely be working towards.

The other is my faith, God – I am a Christian and being a daughter of God motivates me to do good in the world. To be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Plans

So over the next 6 months I will be aiming to be more active on the Rebel groups to share what I do but also encourage others. I will try and take time to myself to recharge and listen to what others are telling me, and ensuring that I complete tasks I set out to do.

I really want to improve being able to make a decision sometimes even the most simplest of tasks is a struggle like what to do for tea, or what to wear – really small things but definitely want to be able to improve it.

I am reliable but sometimes I will make plans or say I will do something and then genuinely forget that I have agreed to do it or what I’m supposed to do unless I write it down – and this is why I’ve added thoughtful as a 5 too, because whilst I think I’m thoughtful it is really hard to remember and makes it seem that I’m not so thoughtful.

Most importantly I really need to focus on my self belief, I have little to no belief in myself, it has started to grow over the past few months but I still feel like I have imposter syndrome in a lot of situations I find myself in.

And that’s My Brand completed.

One comment

  1. I have mixed feelings about working on this badge but I really enjoyed reading your adventures. I even looked up the Eisenhower Matrix system!

I love that you thought of a badge for each section! And you’re not the only overachiever there! My version was to think up three badges that define me (reader, frugalista, theme party host) and three that I hope would be part of future me (programmer, smart phone person (I know!), declutterer).
