Complete a badge which pushes you out of your comfort zone – there are a few badges to be honest that I could attempt to push me out of my comfort zone, but the main section I really struggle with is the Self aware section. I have chosen to complete My Brand which will make me really think about who I am and what I want to be. (Completed)
Complete a badge from the wild section – I have started my code breaker badge so I want to try and get that finished by the end of the 3 months. (Completed)
Order badge roulette – I have ordered my badge roulette and looking forward to receiving my order to see what badge I am due to start! (Completed – I got coder in my badge roulette so I started and actually completed the badge!)
Every week for 12 week do something that scares you – I have really struggled with this one to be honest. I have no ideas of what I could do each week to be brave about.
Week 1 (Mon 1st-Sun 7th July) – I really need an eye test, I have been putting off going for the past 6 months… but for part of the Health Check I need to go! *Booked for 6th July*
Week 2 (Mon 8th-Sun 14th) – It’s my husbands birthday on 16th July and I have planned a party for 14th July at his sisters house… it is definitely out of my comfort zone, I hate being in big groups of people – even people I know!
Week 3 (Mon 15th-Sun 21st) – My feet are not in great condition, and with all the walking I’d like to book an appointment with local podiatrist. I would much rather send a message so I have sent them a message and they have tried calling me back and left a message. I hate answering/speaking on the phone so I will call them back this week and book an appointment.
Week 4 (Mon 22nd-Sun 28th) – Contact Lenses- I have always wanted to give them a try but I have worn glasses since I was 12/13 and I feel so vulnerable without them. when I was at my eye test few weeks ago they mentioned about contact lenses and I refused. I rang today (22nd) and I booked an appointment for Tues 23rd to get a trial!
Week 5 (Mon 29th-Sun 4th August) – I lost my apple watch back in January – I had no idea how or where. But then in March time I remember last having it when I went away with work – I have been putting off and putting off calling them to see if it was still there through feeling embarrassed. Well this week I rang them and they do have the watch there and I am heading back to London next week with the girls and will get it back!
Week 6 (Mon 5th-Sun 11th) – Travel to London with 2 children in tow. I do travel to London by myself, and I have travelled with the whole family camping. But I have never been on public transport with just the girls before.
Week 7 (Mon 12th-Sun 18th) – I made a decision to go back to uni, I have been putting off actually confirming as not knowing what I wanted to do. I completely failed last year and I am not sure I will pass this year, but I have to try!
Week 8 (Mon 19th-Sun 25th) – Rang around dentists and contacted them to try and join for the Rebel Health Check. – I am petrified of Dentists and it has taken this long to build up the courage to actually get in touch to try and find one for me and my children.
Week 9 (Mon 26th-Sun 1st September) – This week I am camping in Worcestershire with the family for a week. For my Bronze Maverick Award I am attempting to complete my Hill and Moorland qualification, my issue is I have only explored areas that are familiar to me, but to be brave I will be getting an OS map of the area and navigating in an unknown area.
Week 10 (Mon 2nd-Sun 8th) – (Personal)
Week 11 (Mon 9th-Sun 15th) – I led safeguarding training with the church kids team. This was super scary for me to deliver, especially as there were people on the team that are already clued up and I was panicking I would say/do the wrong thing! (p.s. I didn’t and it went great!)
Week 13 (Mon 23rd-Sun 29th) – For work I am being filmed – I wouldn’t have agreed to this previously – but I had to be brave!!
