The first post of a blog is always the hardest, where do you even start?
About me? – I live in North Wales with my husband and 4 children!!
The name? – silverberry! I have no idea where it came from if I am completely honest. I enjoyed playing the sims and one of the challenges was a berry challenge and I was following other people playing the challenge – and they would name their sims the colour of the generation and berry at the end – so I adopted the same concept and silverberry was born!
The purpose? – I’m busy… very busy! I have a full time job working 45 hours a week for a local charity, I also volunteer as a Girlguiding leader running 5 units, I volunteer for my church on the kids team, and I am currently completing my MA in Youth and Community Work!! So why add something else to that? Well with a friend we decided to take part in the Rebel Badge Club – earning badges for ourselves and one of those badges is a writer badge, and part of it is about a blog. I thought I could marry it all together and keep a blog of the progress I make completing badges, but also what is happening in other areas of my life too! Who knows… someone may find it interesting!
How often? – The criteria of the badge is to regularly work on a writing project over a period of 6 months. I’m not going to set an expectation on myself at this point but I would like to think I could update at least weekly!
